Position Summary:
We seek a relational leader who will replicate the mission of the church within the lives of children and families. A leader who will set the tone for the CP Kids Department to culturally align with our church and staff values in reaching and equipping children and families with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary oversight and direction to the kids’ department at the broadcast location
- Lead in the development of mission-specific midweek, weekend programming, curriculum, and online content
- Execute plans to ensure the safety and security of the children/minors within all programming functions, activities, and events
- Lead and supervise a staff of full-time and part-time employees
- Manage the department budget
- Oversee the recruitment, development, and training of volunteer teams
- Ensure consistent onboarding of coaches and volunteers
- Invest and empower coaches who empower their volunteers
- Build a culture where volunteers are seen, supported, and celebrated
- Promote a discipleship-making culture within the department
- Be an active part of the adult service experience
- Collaborate in the planning and execution of church wide events
- Carry out assigned tasks as a staff pastor
- Provide oversight in the communication to all campuses on programming, events, curriculum, and activities as they relate to the Kids’ Department
Qualifications and Must Haves:
- A minimum of 3 years of full-time ministry experience with a demonstrated ability to effectively develop disciples and multiply leaders
- A proven leader who is highly relational and possesses the ability to recruit, inspire, and train others well
- Proficiency in implementing long-term ministry strategies that meet the spiritual needs of children and families
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills
- Possesses the ability to effectively manage conflict and sensitive situations with wisdom and grace
- Organized with a strong eye for detail to achieve levels of excellence
- Growth-oriented with a bias for action
- Loves investing their time and talents in children and parents
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
- Credentialed with the Assemblies of God
- Tenured in the diversity of learning styles and age-specific teaching methodology
- Enjoys challenges and seeks to raise the level of effectiveness within the department
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and training in the areas of ministry responsibility
